Graduating Sisters

Family in the crowd.
Mi familia
Having younger siblings makes it seem like time goes by even faster than it already does. Watching them hit the same milestones I once did further presses on the fact that years have literally passed since I was in their shoes. My youngest sibling and only sister Kirsten, as well as Marc's sister Megan both graduated from high-school last weekend. As I walked into my old alma mater, I couldn't help but dream back those memories I once had while walking those grounds. It was quite nostalgic. I ran into several of my old teachers and some of them recognized me. One even commented on how he had all three members of the "Manalo Dynasty" pass through his class at one point. I'm pretty sure I was the best student out of the three of us. :) Ha! As much as the facade of Loma Linda Academy has changed over the years, it feels like things over there just don't change. The teachers look as they haven't aged, the same 'issues' are still at stake (seriously, cafeteria food will always taste like crap), and for the most part, everything is still where they used to be. I feel the same way about the area as a whole-it feels like time stands still there or maybe its because I've just been moving along with the flow of life and growing up...all too fast.

Nostalgia aside, I am soooo proud of my new grads and cannot wait to see what amazing things they will do in the future!
The sisters: Kirsten & Megan.
Best buds since 1st grade and now they're sisters-thanks to us! :)

A Loma Linda Academy tradition-the cap tossing ceremony.
